SCANDAL !!! Jeremy Renner Involved in Brutal Thailand Fight.

We guess this is good training for his upcoming role in The Bourne Legacy

Jeremy Renner was involved in a violent fight last night outside a bar in Phuket, Thailand, TMZ reports, one in which a participant gashed another with a rotor axe.

Local police says the melee started after a man in Renner’s party, Vorasit Issara, dropped a glass on the floor. A group of workers – with whom Vorasit has been arguing – proceeded to attack Issara, Renner and their friends, with the former getting stabbed in the neck and the stomach with a knife.

All six men who initiated the attack were arrested, while the actor’s rep said he left the scene as quickly as he could once the fight escalated.

Don’t Keep Me Waiting: Special Acoustic Britney Spears Track Released

Britney Spears is making this holiday season memorable with gifts to her fans – and we’re not just talking about her engagement to Jason Trawick, nice as that was.
Earlier, she released a new/old song, “Strangest Love,” reportedly recorded (but never released) for 2003’s In The Zone. Now another new song has surfaced online.

It’s an acoustic version of “Don’t Keep Me Waiting,” which was clearly enhanced with production on the album version. But this one is fun to listen to in its own way.

Britney Spears Shows Off Engagement Ring, Looks Gorgeous

Wow. Britney Spears showed off her engagement ring in a new Facebook photo today, but it’s not the rock we’re impressed by. The bride-to-be herself looks cute as ever!

Oh yeah, and that diamond ring’s alright too.

“I can’t stop looking at it!!” she wrote along with a photo of herself displaying the bauble inside either a nail salon … or her house, for all we know. She can afford it!

Here’s the beaming future Mrs. Jason Trawick:

Jason definitely did Brit proud when he popped the question with the nearly four-carat round Neil Lane diamond and pave band ring on his 40th birthday last month.

No wedding date has yet been set, and the lovebirds aren’t rushing things. Nor are they planning a decadent affair, opting instead for a low-key wedding.

After all she’s been through, probably a smart move.

Here’s wishing them all the best, and hoping for more Britney Spears pictures like this one for our gallery. She’s never looked better – or happier.

New Google TV taps Marvell system-on-a-chip

Marvell gets its chip into the Google TV but Google's Android Honeycomb update left CNET Reviewers frustrated.

Google is tapping Santa Clara, Calif.-based Marvell to power its new TV, which will debut next week at CES.

Marvell’s ARMADA 1500 HD Media System-on-a-Chip (SoC) has been designed into the next generation of Google TVs debuting at CES 2012, the chip supplier said Thursday. That chip is based on a design from U.K.-based ARM.

“Marvell and Google have teamed up to…[transform] the TV into the command center for our connected lifestyle,” Marvell co-founder Weili Dai said in a statement.

The two companies have collaborated on software and chip technologies to grow the Google TV ecosystem of manufacturers and devices, Marvell said.

But more broadly, the Android Honeycomb update to Google TV has not impressed CNET Reviews.

“It took Google an entire year to deliver a major update to the first round of Google TV products, and it has not been worth the wait,” CNET Reviews said. “While it looks and sounds good in theory, the actual user experience is pretty terrible,” Reviews said.

That said, it is certainly a win for Marvell. An Intel Atom chip appeared in the first Google TV, but that platform never took off. Moreover, the Atom processor has been struggling to gain acceptance in any consumer device beyond the netbook, which itself is fading in the face oftablet competition.
